MAHONING COUNTY Grand jury indicts 2 in shooting deaths

YOUNGSTOWN -- Two women charged in unrelated shooting deaths were indicted Thursday by a Mahoning County grand jury.
Deborah Graham, 41, of Columbus, was indicted on a charge of aggravated murder with a firearm specification. She is charged in connection with the March 26 killing of 55-year-old Ulysses Watkins at his South Truesdale Avenue home.
Police say Watkins was Graham's boyfriend and that she had threatened him by saying, "Marry me by Easter or else," during a telephone conversation.
About a half-hour after the conversation, she went to his East Side home and shot him, authorities say. She surrendered to authorities within hours of the shooting.
The grand jury handed up an indictment against Kisha Roman on c charge of reckless homicide.
Roman, 31, of Hunter Street, is accused of shooting Dennis Best, 49, who lived across the street from her.
City police have said Roman took a gun to Best after he was in a fight with three men. She told police that Best pulled the trigger several times and the gun did not fire.
Thinking the gun was unloaded, she took it from Best and pulled the trigger, firing the bullet that struck Best. He was found with a bullet wound behind his left ear.
