AUCTIONS
XVictory Christian School will hold a benefit auction starting at 10 a.m. Saturday at 2053 Pleasant Valley Road, Niles. Items to be auctioned include gift certificates, sports memorabilia and household items.
BINGO/CARDS
XOur Lady of Hungary Church Altar and Rosary Confraternity will hold a bingo and card party at the Cardinal Mindszenty Hall, 545 N. Belle Vista Ave., Youngstown, at 2 p.m. Sunday. Refreshments will be served. Admission is $2.
BOOK SALES
XWestminster Presbyterian Church, 119 Stadium Drive, Boardman, will sponsor its 46th annual used book sale from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday and from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Books and music in various categories will be sold.
CRAFT SHOWS
XPymatuning Community Hall is sponsoring a spring craft show from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. May 4 at North Shenango Community Center, Route 285, Espyville, Pa. Admission is $1; and those under 12 are free. A luncheon menu will be available. Door prizes will be awarded every half- hour beginning at 9:30.
FUND-RAISERS
XMonument of Faith Church of God in Christ Women's Christian Council will sponsor "An Evening of Elegant Fashion and Dining" Saturday at Mahoning Country Club, 710 E. Liberty St., Girard. The fellowship hour at 5 p.m., will be followed by dinner at 6 and a fashion show. Show items also will be sold. The cost is $25 and proceeds will benefit the Outreach Complex. XThe 11th annual Multiple Sclerosis Super Walk will be held Sunday at Mill Creek Park beginning at 9 a.m. at the Volney Rogers tennis courts. Lunch will be served at the halfway point at Lake Newport. Walkers will secure donations on either a per-mile basis or a flat sponsored amount. Those raising $60 to $99 will receive a Super Walk T-shirt the day of the event, and those who raise $100 or more will receive the shirt and a Super Walk hat. Prizes also will be awarded. RAFFLES
XBrookfield Optimist Club will sponsor a $1,000 reverse raffle and steak fry May 1 at Brookfield Fire Hall. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and dinner is at 7. The cost is $25 and includes dinner of steak, potatoes, appetizers, desserts and beverage. Ed Gladysz will be honored for community service. XAHEPA 89 Apartments will sponsor a bake and miscellaneous sale from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. May 4 at the apartments, 44 Boardman Blvd., Boardman. Clothes, glassware and refreshments will be sold.
XAkron Mineral Society and Summit Lapidary Club will hold a gem and mineral show from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday at Emidio and Sons Expo Center, 48 E. Bath Road, Cuyahoga Falls. Demonstrations will be given on faceting, polishing of stones, working silver into jewelry and beading.
