Zimmermans honored on 50th at dinner party

SAVANNAH, Ga. -- Retired Col. and Mrs. L. E. Zimmerman, 410 Arlington Road, formerly of Liberty, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary April 6 during a family dinner party held in Savannah.
Hosts for the festivity were their children and their spouses, Greg and Roxann Zimmerman and Gina and Rick Neilsen, all of Savannah, and Laura and Len McWherter of Fort Lewis, Wash. There are eight grandchildren in the family.
The former Jane Berlin and Mr. Zimmerman were married March 22, 1952, at Trinity United Methodist Church in Youngstown. They attend Windsor Forest Baptist Church in Savannah.
Mr. Zimmerman retired from the U.S. Army in 1982 after 32 years of service.
