DRYFUSE SLAYINGS

DRYFUSE SLAYINGS
Other testimony
New Castle police Lt. Thomas Macri said he saw Thomas Kimbell walking in downtown New Castle around 12:30 or 1 p.m. the day of the slayings. He said Kimbell was known to carry a knife in a leather pouch on his belt.
Mark Kirkwood, 42, said he picked up Kimbell hitchhiking on Sampson Street in New Castle and drove him to U.S. Route 422 near Harbor Road around 1 p.m. Three others: Patricia Richards, 58, Pamela Smith, 35, and John Workman, 45, said they saw a shirtless Kimbell walking west on Route 422 that afternoon.
Thomas Dryfuse was questioned about inconsistencies in his statement to police. Dryfuse contends "Cadillac Style" was playing on the radio when he arrived home at 3 p.m., but in one police statement he names another song. The song is crucial to pinpoint when he arrived home. Police believe the victims were killed before 3 p.m.
