ASSOCIATIONS
XBoardman-Canfield Branch of American Association of University Women will meet at 6:30 May 1 at Boardman United Methodist Church to form car pools to travel to Hope House Visitation Center, 660 W. Earl St., Youngstown. Carol McCracken will present the program, then members will meet at Pat Soller's home, 4003 Windsor Road, Boardman, for the business meeting and dessert. CLASSES
XStruthers High School Class of 1943 will meet for a lunch at 1 p.m. Friday at The Elmton in Struthers. January and June graduates are invited.
CLUBS
XCalon Lan Welsh Club will hold its annual Gymanfa Ganu (Welsh hymn song fest) at 3 p.m. May 5 at the Chapel Room of Westminster Presbyterian Church, 119 Stadium Drive, Boardman. A traditional tea will follow the fest. The cost is $2. Proceeds will benefit the Welsh Home for the Aged in Rocky River and the Scholarship Foundation. XHubbard Fortnightly IV members will meet at 6 p.m. Thursday at Sky Bank to carpool to the Holiday Inn in Boardman for their annual dinner.
XOhio Cultural Alliance will meet at 6 p.m. May 6 at Church Hill United Methodist Church, 189 Churchill-Hubbard Road, Liberty. The program, "Monuments, Memories and Milestones of Switzerland," will be presented by Gloria Gloor Atwell, and pianist Roman Rudnytsky will perform. The United Methodist Women will prepare a meal including Zurich geschnetzeltes, Swiss steak, risotta ala Milanese, chocolate mousse and carrot cake. The cost is $11 for members and $15 for nonmembers. Check should be sent to the Ohio Cultural Alliance, P.O. Box 561, Canfield, Ohio 44406-0561. Reservations are due by May 2.
GUILDS
XAmerican Sewing Guild will have a spring tea at 9:30 a.m. April 27 at Central Christian Church, 2051 E. Market St., Warren. The program, "Season Your Life," will be presented by Margene Manning of Menton, and there will be a style show. A box lunch of chicken salad croissant, macaroni salad and dessert will be included in the admission price of $10 for members and $15 for nonmembers.
RELIGIOUS GROUPS
XCongregation Rodef Sholom Sisterhood's annual donor luncheon is planned at noon May 14 at Rodef Sholom's Strouss Hall. A gourmet luncheon will be served. The program will be presented by the Youngstown Symphony String Quartet. The cost is $6.50. XCourt Bishop McFadden 1650, Catholic Daughters of the Americas, will meet at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Glenellen Senior Suites and Villas in North Lima. Convention reports will be given, and the program will be a show-and-tell. Marie Susor and Jean Puhalla will be hostesses. SOCIETIES
XHammond Organ Society will meet at 7 p.m. Friday at Grace Lutheran Church. Dues are now payable, and money will be collected for the May 24 anniversary banquet. Hosts will be Dorothy Osborne and Bill Forristal, and entertainment will be by members.
