30th anniversary
WEST MIDDLESEX, Pa. -- The Rev. Gary L. Harke, executive director of the Pennsylvania Council of Churches, will be the guest speaker at the 30th annual dinner of Christian Associates of the Shenango Valley.

Mother's Day dinner

Spring conference
FARRELL, Pa. -- The spring conference of the New and Living Way Apostolic Church of Jesus Christ is under way today and Sunday. The theme is "Discerning the End Time Signs." A workshop with Apostle Audrey Aikens of Raven Ministries of Swissvale, Pa., will be at 10 a.m. today. Elder George Simmons Sr. of True Holiness Apostolic Church of Jesus Christ of Erie, Pa., will speak at 7:30 p.m. today. Aikens will also speak at 11:30 a.m. Sunday, and the Rev. Day of Prayer
LISBON -- The 51st annual National Day of Prayer will be observed by the Columbiana County National Day of Prayer Task Force on the village square from noon to 1 p.m. May 2. The keynote speaker will be Dick Rose of D.W. Dickey and Son Inc.
Spring banquet set
YOUNGSTOWN -- Youngstown State University's Protestant Campus Ministry Spring Banquet is May 14 at the DeBartolo Stadium Club at Stambaugh Stadium. Bus trip offered
WARREN --The SAM Network of Warren is scheduling a bus trip to Lancaster, Pa., to see the plays "Daniel" and "Abraham and Sarah" on Aug. 14 and 15. The trip includes one-night hotel accommodations. Youth program
POLAND -- Ways of dealing with violence in young people will be discussed at Holy Family Church from 7 to 9 p.m. April 30. There will be a moderated discussion, and surveys will be taken to assess local opinions. The surveys will be sent to the Kettering Foundation for compilation with other communities. The surveys are often used by legislators to determine the presence of public support for specific legislation. Preregistration is encouraged. Call (330) 757-1545.
