COLUMBIANA COUNTY Man to be arraigned in shooting death

The charge bears a maximum penalty of life in prison.
LISBON -- A Knox Township man is to be arraigned later today in Columbiana County Municipal Court on a murder charge.
Gregory Doak, 44, is accused in the April 7 shooting death of Teresa Stoffer, 42, also of Knox Township.
He faces a maximum penalty of life in prison if convicted.
Authorities say Doak gunned down Stoffer outside her residence in a mobile home park off U.S. Route 62 in Knox Township.
Stoffer was a friend and neighbor to Doak's estranged wife, Angela Doak, 39.
About the case
Investigators say they believe that Gregory Doak went armed with a rifle to the trailer park, intent on killing both his wife and Stoffer. He believed Stoffer was interfering with his marriage, investigators say.
Upon arriving at the park, Doak approached his wife's trailer first and pounded on the door.
When Stoffer emerged from her own trailer, Doak spotted her and opened fire, fatally wounding her, authorities say.
He then shot his way into his wife's trailer only to discover that she had fled.
Doak then shot himself inside the trailer.
He was taken into custody without incident shortly thereafter when police stormed the trailer.
Until Thursday, Doak was in Akron City Hospital under 24-hour guard. He was charged with Stoffer's death after being discharged.
Doak was in the Columbiana County Jail infirmary today.
