Kava risks face study
Kava, an herbal anti-anxiety supplement, is under investigation by the Food and Drug Administration for its possible link to liver damage.
The FDA is asking doctors to report any side effects from use of the supplement, but many doctors don't know (or don't ask) what kinds of herbal supplements their patients take.
For more information, visit the FDA's Web site at www.fda.gov and put "kava" in the search engine.
