NORTH LIMA -- The Woodworth Park cleanup originally scheduled for last Saturday will be Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The event was postponed because of inclement weather.
Residents are asked to bring shovels, rakes and wheelbarrows.
3 reappointed
LISBON -- Columbiana County commissioners approved reappointment of three Columbiana County Mental Health and Recovery Services board members whose terms expire June 30.
Approved for four-year terms beginning July 1 are John Soldano of Wellsville, Richard Feldman of East Liverpool and Mary Patterson of Salem. Soldano completed one year of an unexpired term, and Feldman and Patterson will each begin a second full term. They will serve through June 30, 2006.
No village dog warden
WELLSVILLE -- The Columbiana County dog warden will now handle dog complaints here because Wellsville officials have eliminated the position because of the village's financial crisis.
In a letter to county commissioners Mayor Joe LaScola said the city would need the county's help during its "trying times." The state auditor's office has declared Wellsville to be in fiscal emergency.
Commissioners said Wellsville was the only remaining village in the county to have its own dog warden.
5 indicted in bank fraud
CLEVELAND -- Five Shenango Valley residents have been indicted by a federal grand jury on charges of conspiracy to commit bank fraud and bank fraud, the U.S. attorney said.
The indictment names four Farrell residents: Charles R. Harris, 31, and Lynette Frieson, 34, both of French Street, conspired with Lori M. Bryant, 31, of Market Avenue, and Phillip Wells, 30, of Emerson Avenue. The fifth person indicted in the case is Craig S. Ison, 39, of Baldwin Avenue, Sharon.
They conspired to commit bank fraud and negotiate counterfeit checks in the Youngstown area and in western Pennsylvania, authorities said. In 1998 and early 1999, the defendants negotiated more than $150,000 in counterfeit checks, victimizing at least 13 financial institutions in Ohio and Pennsylvania, the indictment says.
Man charged
NEW CASTLE, Pa. -- A domestic dispute spilled over into threats being made at a convenience store, city police said.
A 26-year-old Denver Avenue man is charged with carrying a firearm without a license, terroristic threats and disorderly conduct. Police said he went to the Country Fair Store at 106 Plaza South at 7 p.m. Wednesday looking for his girlfriend after the two had a fight. Witnesses contend that the man threatened to kill everyone in the store if they didn't tell him where to find his girlfriend, who is an employee at the store. Police said people in the store said they saw a handgun in the waistband of the man's pants, but he didn't pull it out.
No one was injured and police later arrested the man.
Suspect described
BROOKFIELD -- Township police have released the description of a partially clothed or naked man who has been approaching girls. Lt. James Baker said the suspect is believed to be in his early- to mid-30s with a balding or shaved head and driving a black, newer-model Chevrolet Monte Carlo or Malibu with Ohio bicentennial license plates.
Baker said the man has approached at least three girls ages 10 to 16 in the past two weeks and asked for directions to a nearby street while wearing some clothing or nude. He snaps pictures of the girls before leaving.

Woman hurt in crash
CANFIELD -- A 52-year-old North Lima woman was in critical condition with chest and shoulder injuries at St. Elizabeth Health Center this morning after a one-car crash on Route 11 south of Kirk Road, state highway patrol and hospital personnel said.
Sally S. Gale was driving southbound at about 8 p.m. Wednesday when she drove off the right side of the road, the patrol said. The car struck a guardrail, rolled over, slid down an embankment and landed in a ditch.
Robert Tieche, Canfield Joint Fire District chief, said it took firefighters using special equipment about 25 minutes to remove Gale from her car. She was then flown to St. Elizabeth's.
