Evans-Shannon engagement is announced

The engagement of Megan A. Evans of Cleveland and Thomas Shannon Jr. of St. Louis is being announced by their parents, Edward and Mary Jane Evans of Wernersville, Pa., and Thomas Sr. and Carol Shannon of Struthers.
The couple's wedding will take place Aug. 3 during a ceremony at 2 p.m. at St. Nicholas Church in Struthers. Invitations will be extended for an evening reception at The Georgetown in Boardman.
A graduate of East Stroudsburg University in East Stroudsburg, Pa., Dr. Evans earned a doctor of podiatric medicine degree at Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine in Cleveland. She is a surgical resident at the Cleveland Clinic.
The future groom graduated with a bachelor's degree from Youngstown State University and received a doctor of podiatric medicine degree from Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine. Dr. Shannon is a surgical resident at Mineral Area Medical Center in St. Louis.
