YSU TASK FORCE Top priorities



Of the 168 recommendations made last year by state Auditor Jim Petro, Youngstown State University has identified 16 as top priority:
Improve labor relations.
Encourage diversity on campus.
Give employees of choice of health plans, but make sure the least costly plan is made available at no premium cost.
Human relations should manage union communications.
Become a customer-driven organization.
Aggressively expand outreach programs in the minority communities.
Invest in a comprehensive all-in-one campus card system.
Implement a preventive maintenance program for university facilities.
Improve budget development and reporting.
Consolidate technology funding and planning under a chief technology officer.
Upgrade or replace the administrative computing systems.
Implement a human resources management system integrated with payroll.
Develop a comprehensive technology plan.
Implement a comprehensive enrollment management plan.
Retain more students who enroll at YSU.
Simplify student administrative processes.
