LIBERTY -- Space can now be reserved for the Community Yard Sale from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. May 11 at the township administration building on Church Hill-Hubbard Road.
Proceeds benefit the annual Relay for Life to fight cancer.
A space costs $10. Participants must bring tables to display their items.
Other activities include food, baseball games, DJ "Collaboration" from 6 to 9 p.m. and a 9 p.m. moonlight baseball game.

Help for parents
WARREN -- A program on child-rearing advice and relaxation activities for parents will be presented from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 20 at the Rebecca Williams Community Center.
The program, sponsored by Trumbull LifeLines, will include presentations by local experts on raising healthy children through age 5, on talking to children and on helping children read.
There will also be makeover sessions, massage, drumming and yoga, officials say.
Slugger Competition
LIBERTY -- Liberty Diamond Club will sponsor Slugger Competition 2002 beginning at noon April 27 and 28 at the high school baseball field.
The event is for students in grades nine through 12. Fee is $25.
In addition to trophies, prizes in the junior varsity and varsity categories are gloves, bats, spikes, batting gloves, batting jackets and player equipment bags.

Fastest guitarist
CHAMPION -- Billed as the fastest guitarist in the world -- right handed or left handed -- Michael Angelo is to appear at Fordeley's Music at 4922 Mahoning Ave. Sunday in a show to benefit Tod Children's Hospital.
Angelo has just returned from touring with Van Halen and John Mellencamp, according to Fordeley's.
Also appearing will be Glass Harp's John Sferra and Frank Fordeley, whose new CD "I Believe in Angels" is to be released in June.
There also will be a rip, shred, burn and learn guitar clinic concert.
Doors open at 1 p.m.
JA bowl-a-thon
WARREN -- Junior Achievement will have a bowl-a-thon to raise funds for its operations.
The event will be Saturday from 7 to 10 p.m. at Crest Lanes on U.S. Route 422.

Workshop for teens
HOWLAND -- Teen Straight Talk of Vienna and the Ohio Abstinence Campaign is sponsoring a workshop from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. May 6 in Avalon Inn in Howland.
Cost is $25. Checks should be made payable to Mercy Parent-Infant Center and mailed to Debbie Friece, 40 W. High St., Springfield 45502, by May 1.
The workshop will focus on the "10 Rites of Passage" program, examining spiritual, emotional, social, personal, mental, cultural, historical, political, economic and physical aspects of life.
The event, postponed from January, is designed to allow adults, parents and youth to work together to deepen awareness of family, self and community.

Arrested at home
SHARON, Pa. -- Vincent Huntley, 40, of the 600 block of East State Street, was arrested at home on charges of possession of crack cocaine, possession of crack cocaine with intent to deliver and a parole violation.
Police said Huntley was on parole in an unrelated case and when parole agents made a surprise check of his home Thursday around noon they found four plastic bags containing suspected crack cocaine. Huntley was in Mercer County Jail today on $10,000 bond.
Jury indicts teen
YOUNGSTOWN -- A Mahoning County grand jury has indicted a Campbell teen accused of obstructing justice in the investigation of the stabbing of a Canfield High School student.
Deputies say Eithyer Ramos, 18, of Coitsville Road was with Joel Lassalle, 18, of East Philadelphia Avenue, Youngstown, when Lassalle stabbed Jose Morales, 17, of North Palmyra Road, Canfield, in Morales' residence around 1:24 a.m. Feb. 24.
