The Todds to be guests of honor at celebration



ROGERS -- Mr. and Mrs. John Todd, 10588 Sprucevale Road, will be guests of honor during an open dinner reception to celebrate their 51st wedding anniversary.
The event is planned from 6 to 9 p.m. Oct. 6 at Schoolhouse Square in Negley. Their family arranged the event.
The former Evelyn V. Gorby and Mr. Todd, also known as "Bill," were married Sept. 17, 1950, at East Carmel Assembly of God Church in Rogers.
Mrs. Todd retired in 1992 from American Paper Products Co., Boardman, after 291/2 years as a machine operator.
Retiring in 1982 from Crucible Division of Colt Industries in Midland, Pa., Mr. Todd was a mechanic for 271/2 years. He also worked for 14 years at Columbiana County Career Center as an adult instructor and high school substitute, retiring in 1977. He is a member of American Legion Post 290, Columbiana, and is chaplain and a member of the color guard.
The couple are members of Clarkson Presbyterian Church, Rogers, where he is an elder.
Their children are Dixie L. Powell of Wellsville; John W. Todd Jr. of Greenville, S.C.; Merle A. Todd and Vickie L. Conrad, both of Lisbon; Earl R. Todd of East Liverpool; and Jeff A. Todd of Medina. The family also includes seven grandchildren and two stepgrandchildren.
