Shabellas are honored at dinner party held to mark their 50th anniversary

CAMPBELL -- Mr. and Mrs. Walter Shabella, 134 Piccadilly St., were honored Sept. 29 as they celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.
The couple attended a Mass at St. Michael Byzantine Church, where they are members, and were feted afterward during a dinner at the church hall.
Arrangements for the event were made by their daughter and son-in-law, Karen and David Penwell of Campbell. Also participating was their granddaughter.
The former Margaret Lucas and Mr. Shabella were married Sept. 29, 1951, at St. John the Baptist Church.
Mrs. Shabella retired in 1980 from Fisher Fazio's in Struthers, where she was a head counter girl. She is a member of the Infant Jesus of Prague Guild.
Her husband was a chain inspector at Republic Steel Corp. in Youngstown and retired in 1982. He is a member of Campbell Civic Club and St. Michael Byzantine Golf League.
