Diabetes fund-raiser
CANFIELD -- America's Walk for Diabetes, the American Diabetes Association's annual fund-raising walk Oct. 7 at the Canfield Fairgrounds, state Route 46. Clinic gets $18K grant
YOUNGSTOWN -- The Neil Kennedy Recovery Clinic, 2151 Rush Blvd., has received an $18,000 grant from the Ohio Department of Alcohol and Drug Addiction Services to assist small businesses in Trumbull and Mahoning counties in developing substance abuse policies, employee education, supervisory training, alcohol and other drug testing, and employees assistance program.

Breast cancer benefit
BOARDMAN -- Volunteer MasterCuts stylists at Southern Park Mall will give $7 haircuts to kids age 12 and under from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, as part of the fourth annual MasterCuts Kids' Clip for the Cure, a fund-raising event for breast cancer research.
