MAHONING COUNTY
Halloween Town: Opens Sept. 28 at Yellow Duck Park, U.S. Route 46 between Canfield and Columbiana, 7 to 10 p.m. every Friday, Saturday and Sunday through Oct. 28, 6:30 to 10 p.m. Oct. 29-31. Crazed Corn Maze: Beight Farm, 11490 1/2 Youngstown-Pittsburgh Road, New Middletown: 7:30 to 11:30 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays Oct. 5-27. Cost $7 per person. Witch Hazel and Witch's Cave: Mill Creek Park, meet at the suspension bridge, 2 p.m. Oct. 28 for a 2 1/2 -mile hike with moderate difficulty. Join us for a look at things in nature that remind us of Halloween and folklore that may have been used in magic and medicine.

Halloween Happenings: Detwiler Farm, 4520 Road, Columbiana, one mile west of U.S. Route 46, five miles south of Canfield and 2 miles north of Columbiana. Hayrides to the 10-acre "you-pick" pumpkin patch, straw maze, four-acre cornfield maze, petting zoo, fall decorations, apples and cider. Noon to 5 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays through Oct. 28.

Shocktoberfest: "Terror" City Amphitheater adjacent to Tower City Center, downtown Cleveland. 7 to midnight Fridays and Saturdays, 7 to 11 p.m. Thursdays and Sundays Oct. 5-28. Admission includes concert (Mushroomhead Oct. 5, or Alice Cooper, Oct. 6), two haunted houses, thrill rides and sideshow entertainment featuring The Enigma from the Jim Rose Circus.
