Shenango chamber chooses new leader

SHARON, Pa. -- The Shenango Valley Chamber of Commerce has picked a banker as its next executive director/chief executive officer.
David M. Grande of Norris Street succeeds Dennis Reichard, who resigned to take a banking position.
Grande begins his duties Oct. 8.
"He brings the type of community spirit and dedication that we believe is needed to fulfill the mission of the chamber and the positive direction the board has established," said Ken Johnston, chamber president.
Grande is an assistant vice president and banking center manager of the Neshannock branch of Sky Bank.
He is chairman of the Mercer County Chapter of the American Red Cross, co-chairman of the Mercer County School To Work Initiative and a member of Hermitage Rotary.
He was also the recipient of an Outstanding Leadership Award from the chamber's Leadership Shenango program.
Grande holds a bachelor's degree in business marketing and accounting from Mercyhurst College in Erie and has held a variety of marketing and customer service positions.
He and his wife, Kirsten, have one daughter.
