Two men are shot on city's North Side
YOUNGSTOWN -- Two young city men received treatment at St. Elizabeth Health Center after being shot Monday afternoon in the car they occupied on the city's North Side.
Jamar Robbins, 18, of Broadway Avenue, a passenger in the car, suffered two gunshot wounds to the back, and Lexter Williams, 21, of Florida Avenue, the driver, suffered a gunshot wound to the left shoulder, police said.
A second passenger in the car was not hit in the shooting at 4 p.m. on Broadway near Foster Street, which shattered the car's rear window. Williams, who identified himself to police as Joseph Hall, 19, faces a charge of falsification.
Although Williams and Robbins said they heard gunshots, they said they didn't see anyone shooting and had no idea who would be shooting at them, police said.
