YOUNGSTOWN -- Dr. Crawford W. Loritts Jr. of Atlanta is the keynote speaker for the Urban Family Life Conference, Oct. 26-27, at Rising Star Baptist Church, 2943 Wardle Ave.
The two-day conference is to help recognize and overcome destructive forces against families by teaching people about the benefits of a Christ-centered marriage.

Speaker's background: Loritts is associate director of U.S. ministries for Campus Crusade for Christ, a worldwide ministry with more than 20,000 full-time staff members and 600,000 associate staffers and volunteers. He has served with American Missionary Fellowship and was a church planter with the Black Evangelistic Enterprise.
He founded Legacy, a ministry within Campus Crusade, dedicated to rebuilding and restoring urban families, and has served as co-chairman of the National Congress on the Urban Family. He has a doctor of sacred theology degree from Philadelphia College of the Bible and a doctor of letters degree from Trinity International University. He and his wife, Karen, have four children.
