Council leads Aliquippa to 18-0 victory

MOHAWK, Pa. -- Aliquippa High quarterback Marques Council rushed for two touchdowns and passed for another Friday to lead his team to an 18-0 victory over Mohawk.
Council's 5-yard run put Aliquippa (4-0, 3-0 Midwestern Athletic Conference) ahead 6-0 in the first quarter.
Council scored another touchdown on a 1-yard run in the second quarter.
Aliquippa's other score came when Council connected with Matt Weekley for a 50-yard touchdown.
Travis Williams led Aliquippa with 86 yards on 19 carries.
Council completed 6-of-13 passes for 118 yards.
Mitch Gasperoni led Mohawk (3-1, 3-1) with 88 yards on 14 carries.
Columbus Watterson 44, Sharon 17: COLUMBUS -- Sharon held a 17-13 lead in the second quarter, but Columbus Watterson (1-3) scored the next 31 points to prevail.
Marcus Smith rushed for 136 yards on 23 carries, which included a 60-yard touchdown scamper for the Tigers (3-1).
Sharon gained 169 yards on the ground and added 74 passing. Watterson picked up 310 yards rushing and added 84 passing.
