Business funding is workshop topic

SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. -- Slippery Rock University, in cooperation with the Governor's Action Team, is inviting area businesses to an informational workshop on Pennsylvania state funding.
"Money and Your Business," set for 8:30 a.m. to noon Oct. 12 at SRU's North Hills Site, will provide information on obtaining grants and technology loans and on work-force development.
Cost is $29 per person, and continental breakfast will precede the session.
Speakers will include Deborah A. Simmons from the Governor's Action Team, Donna Costantino, business finance manager for the Southwestern Pennsylvania Commission, and Diane Sheetz, assistant director for the Butler Community Development Corp.
