Maria Bajnok to be bride of Gilbert Garcia

NEWTON FALLS -- The engagement of Maria Karen Bajnok, daughter of Michael J. and Margaret Bajnok, all of Newton Falls, and Capt. Gilbert Olaquez Garcia of Norfolk, Va., a son of Gilberto and Rosalina Garcia of Brush, Colo., is announced by her parents.
The bride-elect graduated from the University of Akron with a degree in radiologic technology and from Aultman Hospital School of Nuclear Medicine, Canton. She is a certified nuclear medicine technologist.
The future groom earned a degree in physics at The Citadel in Charleston, S.C. He is a member of the U.S. Marine Corps and is serving as a communications officer assigned to Amphibious Squadron Six.
The couple will issue invitations for the wedding they have planned for 2 p.m. Nov. 10 at St. Joseph Church and for their reception afterward at Roby Lee's.
