FESTIVAL Events schedule

Hours for the Johnny Appleseed Festival are 4 to 11 p.m. today and Friday, 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday. Daily events include amusement rides, food, local entertainment and a quilt show.
Today
4-10 p.m.: Quilt show.6 p.m.: Pet and youth parade.7 p.m.: Crowning of royalty.8-11 p.m.: DJ Chip Highley, south stage.
Friday
4-10 p.m.: Quilt show.4 p.m.: Bettie Lee Dance Studio demonstration, emergency services displays, blood pressure checks.6 p.m.: Parade.8 p.m.: Candlelight service for World Trade Center, Pentagon victims. Square dancing in the floral hall and a concert by Galaxy on the north stage will begin at conclusion of candlelight service.
Saturday
7:30-8:45 a.m.: Registration for Five Mile Challenge and one-mile run.8 a.m.-5 p.m.: Hit and Miss steam engine show.9 a.m.: Five Mile Challenge and one-mile run.10 a.m.-11 p.m.: Quilt show.Noon: Garden tractor pull.1-3 p.m.: Get Out and Push, bluegrass band.2:30-3:30 p.m.: Kids and teens games.3:30-4:30 p.m.: Senior citizens games.6 p.m.: Grand parade.7 p.m.: Clogging demonstration and penny auction.8 p.m.: Overland Express Band.
Sunday
11 a.m.: Church services.11 a.m.-5 p.m.: Quilt show.1-2 p.m.: Antique tractor pull.1-3 p.m.: Get Out and Push, bluegrass band.1-3 p.m.: Antiques appraisals.4-5 p.m.: Antique car parade.5 p.m.: Quilt auction.8-10 p.m.: Lazy River Band.
