Police investigate death of baby boy

YOUNGSTOWN -- Police were called to a North Watt Street home to investigate the death of a 2-month-old boy, who was pronounced dead Sunday morning.
The baby's mother told police that she asked her boyfriend, the baby's father, to take care of the child late Saturday night. Everyone in the home went to sleep around 1 a.m., she said.
The baby's grandmother said she heard the baby crying at 6 a.m. Sunday and tried to waken the mother, but was unsuccessful.
The grandmother and the mother woke up around 7:45 a.m., found the baby not breathing, and called paramedics.Police reports did not give any other information about the father.
