CANFIELD -- Western Reserve United Methodist Church was the setting at 2:30 p.m. Aug. 11 as Stephanie Ann Phillipson and Robert F. Kopey were united in marriage by the Rev. Russell Adams.
A reception was held afterward at Theodore's Banquet Centre, Mineral Ridge, for the daughter of John and Debra Phillipson, 3456 Meanderwood Drive, and the son of Robert J. and Marie Kopey, 4040 Kirk Road, Austintown.
After a wedding trip to the Bahamas, the couple live in Boardman.
The bride's satin gown was enhanced with schiffli lace and pearls and featured short sleeves, a sweetheart neckline, a heart-shaped cutout back and a cathedral train.
Blush gowns were worn by Melissa Phillipson, the bride's sister and honor attendant, and the bridesmaids, Heather Wallace, her cousin; Rebecca DePietro; Julie Paezak; and Beth Giura. Flower girl was Meredith Jones, the groom's cousin.
Daniel Roberts was best man, and groomsmen were Josh Phillipson, the bride's brother; Rick Thompson; Bill Mays; and John Check. Ring bearer was the groom's cousin, Nicholas Jones.
The bride holds a bachelor's degree in physical therapy from Youngstown State University. She is a physical therapist at St. Elizabeth Health Center and is attending the medical school at Ohio University in Athens.
The groom, a deputy sheriff with Mahoning County Sheriff's Office in Youngstown graduated from YSU with a bachelor's degree in criminal justice.
