MARY JOANNA GOCALASCOTT MCINTYRE
YOUNGSTOWN -- Mary Joanna Gocala and Scott J. McIntyre were married at 2 p.m. Sept. 8 at St. Matthias Church by Monsignor Peter Polando. Parents of the couple are John and Joan Gocala, 6088 Frontier Drive, Poland, and Jeffrey and Eileen McIntyre, 2159 Woodland Trace, Austintown.
A reception was held at Mr. Anthony's in Boardman, and the couple spent their honeymoon in Aruba. They are living in Austintown.
A princess-style sleeveless gown of white satin was worn by the bride. It featured a V-neckline and was adorned with beaded Venise lace. The skirt fell to a semi-cathedral train.
Amy Banks was maid of honor, and bridesmaids were Sherri Easton, Kimberly Kornack and Amanda Viano. Junior bridesmaid was the groom's daughter, Jessica McIntyre, and flower girl was his niece, Caitlyn McIntyre.
The groom's brother, Shawn McIntyre, performed the duties of best man, and groomsmen were John Gocala Jr., the bride's brother; Phillip Merlo; and Ryan Williams. The bride's cousin, Daniel Jones, was junior groomsman.
Mrs. McIntyre holds a medical degree from Northeaster Ohio Universities College of Medicine and is a pediatric resident at Forum Health Tod Children's Hospital.
Her husband attended Youngstown State University and is a police officer with the Austintown Police Department.
