Howell jubilee is celebrated with trip to Calif.

YOUNGSTOWN -- The 50th wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Howell Sr., 323 E. Scott St., was celebrated with a trip to California. The couple left Aug. 18 for the journey with stops in Loughlin, Ariz., Las Vegas and at the home of a daughter, Theresa Howze of Altadena, Calif.
The couple's other children and their spouses are Cheryl and Roosevelt Moore of Houston; and Clarence Jr. and Kim Howell, James Howell and Lillian Denise Howell, all of Youngstown.
The family circle also includes 15 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
The former Lillian Miller and Mr. Howell exchanged marriage vows Aug. 11, 1951, at the Mahoning County Courthouse.
Mrs. Howell is a homemaker.
Mr. Howell, who retired in 1981, was a truck driver for LTV Steel Corp. in Campbell.
