Henry jubilee to be celebrated at open reception
BAYONET POINT, FLA. -- An open house reception will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. Sept. 23 at the fellowship hall of Emmanuel Lutheran Church in honor of Mr. and Mrs. Paul R. Henry of Bayonet Point who will be celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary.
Hosts for the event will be the couple's family, Mrs. Timothy Lindsay of New Waterford, and Tim Henry and Greg Henry, both of East Palestine. They also have 10 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
The couple request that gifts be omitted.
Mr. Henry and the former Dorothy Klaus were married March 2, 1951, at the old Emmanuel Lutheran Church in New Springfield, where they have been lifelong members. They moved from New Springfield to the East Palestine and Unity area in 1971 and now live in Florida and spend the summers in East Palestine.
They were the owners of Henry Furniture and Appliance in New Springfield until 1968.
Mr. Henry was also employed at Kenmar Manufacturing Co. in East Palestine and at NRM Corp. in Columbiana and retired in 1994 from the E. W. Bliss Co. in Salem.
Mrs. Henry worked for her parents at Klaus Hardware in New Springfield and eventually operated the business with her husband. She also was employed at Sheeley's Furniture and Appliance in North Lima. After receiving her State of Ohio Real Estate Broker License she owned an operated Henry Realty in East Palestine and is a real estate agent in Florida.
