Anniversary is celebrated by Sciortinos

BOARDMAN -- The 50th wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Vincent J. Sciortino, 778 Mapleridge Drive, was celebrated with their family Sept. 8 at Leo's Ristorante in Howland.
Arrangements for the festivity were made by the couple's children and their spouses, Craig and Stephanie Knabe of Murrysville, Pa.; Dr. Norris and Jani Anderson of Willman, Minn.; and Frank and Missy Dravecky of Canfield. There are seven grandchildren in the family.
The former Lenore V. Carlson and Mr. Sciortino were united in marriage Sept. 8, 1951, at the Chapel of Friendly Bells in Youngstown. They are members of First Covenant Church.
Mr. Sciortino served with the U.S. Navy aboard the USS H.W. Gilmore Submarine Tender during the Korean War. He retired in 1989 as president of Allied Cash Register Co. and was a member of Independent Cash Register Dealer's Association, VFW Post 5432, the Arco Club and the Saxon Club.
His wife is a homemaker and was a member of the Covenant Women and Wildwood Garden Club.
