Board appointees

Fee, court Administrator Philip Boudewyns and Luann Parkonen, Judge Pratt's law clerk, to the board. Lawrence County commissioners learned last month that they had to step down from the board when petitions for a government study referendum were successful. Voters will decide in November if a government study commission will look at various ways to organize county government. Any recommended changes, which could include abandoning the county commissioner form of government, will go back to voters in the next election. State law prohibits county commissioners from serving on the election board anytime they will be directly affected by anything on the ballot.
