MAHONING COUNTY Drug case pending in juvenile court



CANFIELD -- The case of a 17-year-old Youngstown boy arrested with suspected marijuana and suspected cocaine is pending in Mahoning County Juvenile Court.
Police stopped the teen's car on South Broad Street in Canfield last Friday for having tinted windows that were too dark. The officers found a plastic bag containing suspected marijuana between the teen's seat and door. A multicolored glass pipe also was found in the car.
The teen said he was not the owner of the suspected marijuana.
The teen was taken to the Canfield Police Department for booking. While at the station, police searched the teen and found a folded magazine page containing suspected cocaine in his wallet. A cigarette pack containing a razor blade also was found in one of the teen's pockets.
The teen said he was not the owner of the folded magazine page or the razor blade.
Police charged him with delinquency by way of drug abuse and possession of drug paraphernalia. He also was charged by police with being a juvenile offender by way of tinted windows.
