Youngstown State athletic department officials announced the Penguins' football game at Toledo will go on as scheduled Saturday at 7 p.m.
"After weighing all the factors, the sensitivity of this issue, and the safety for our student-athletes, coaches, administrators and fans, we are planning on playing the Rockets at the Glass Bowl on Saturday night," YSU athletic director Ron Strollo said. "The Youngstown State department of athletics joins the world in mourning the great losses our country has suffered. We fully support our national leaders and the community's desire to return to our normal activities as quickly as possible."
Youngstown State's volleyball team's trip to the Florida Atlantic tournament this week has been canceled.
Wednesday's women's soccer match against Bowling Green was rescheduled for Oct. 3 at BGSU at 3:30 p.m.
