WHAT TO SAY
To children
Advice for adults on how to talk to children about Tuesday's terrorist attacks:
Be honest.
Encourage them to express themselves, either by talking, drawing pictures or writing an essay.
Encourage them to ask questions.
Validate their fears.
Don't worry about hiding fears and confusion.
You can't shelter children because they already are upset.
Explain that any reaction is normal.
