Symphony Guild plans opening champagne gala

YOUNGSTOWN -- In celebration of the Youngstown Symphony Orchestra's opening night, a Champagne Pre-Theater Supper is planned at 6:30 p.m. Sept. 22 in the Spanish Room at Edward W. Powers Auditorium by the Youngstown Symphony Guild.
Champagne will be served as guests arrive, and dinner will be at 6:45. There also will be a cash bar available. Black tie is optional.
Pam Hirko is opening night gala chairwoman and Patricia Fleck Kavic, co-chairwoman. Phyllis Bacon and Phyllis Wilkie are committee members.
The cost is $35 and includes champagne, wine with dinner, dessert and coffee. Reservations may be made by calling the symphony box office at (330) 744-0264.
The Youngstown Symphony Orchestra will present "Spirit of 76: The American Concerto" season. Tickets for the opening concert must be purchased separately by calling the box office at the number above.
