Poland man posts bond

NILES -- A Poland man accused of enticing a Weathersfield boy into his car was released from jail Monday after posting bond.
Randall K. Bryant, 26, of Oak Drive, was charged last week with pandering sexually-oriented matters involving a minor, a felony, and misdemeanor counts of criminal child enticement and drug abuse.
He was accused of enticing an 8-year-old boy who lives in the Suburban Mobile Home Park here into his car Thursday evening by offering to buy the boy a frog.
Capt. Joe Consiglio of Weathersfield police said the pandering charge stems from floppy disks that Bryant allegedly had that contained photographs of minors.
Bryant was charged with drug abuse after police found suspected marijuana in his car when he was arrested.
Judge Thomas W. Townley set a $15,000 bond on the felony charge when Bryant appeared Monday in Niles Municipal Court. Bryant had pleaded innocent to the misdemeanor charges last week and Judge Townley had set a $7,500 bond on those charges. Bryant had been kept in the Trumbull County Jail over the weekend.
Police from Weathersfield, Niles and Girard as well as Trumbull County Sheriff's Office responded to the call when the boy's relatives reported the incident.
Police found the boy in the car with Bryant just more than an hour after the incident was reported. The boy wasn't injured.
