The Vindicator/Wiliam D. Lewis
Ed Williams, 59, a letter carrier at the Vienna Post Office, delivers mail from his truck. Williams, a veteran postal worker, will be honored Wednesday at the Vienna branch office for his 30 years of service and 1 million miles of driving without an accident. Williams is a 1959 graduate of Sharpsville High School and served in the Navy from 1966 to 1969 before his postal employment. Williams began his career at the Brookfield Post Office and has worked out of the Vienna office since 1973. Williams is eligible to retire Sept. 25 and said he enjoys his job because of the people he meets. On his impeccable postal driving record, Williams said it pays to "be careful and have a little bit of luck."
