COLUMBIANA CORNER Naked knight? Armor found

Salem police in the squad room one morning last week overheard the dispatcher relaying to another officer that a caller had found a suit of armor on her front porch.
According to the police report filed a few minutes later, a Washington Street woman called police about 7:25 a.m. Friday, stating she found a black metal suit of armor 3 to 4 feet tall on her front porch. Police determined the armor to be a decorative item, and brought it to the station.
"Did he just say a suit of armor?" one officer in the squad room asked.
"I think so," another replied.
"So, somewhere in the city there's a knight running around naked?" quipped a third.
