Mootz jubilee marked by trip to California

POLAND -- Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Mootz of Poland celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with their family by traveling to California for a two-week vacation.
The former Susan Didek and Mr. Mootz were married Aug. 23, 1951, at St. Stanislaus Church in Youngstown.
Their family includes a daughter, Danis Sue Mootz of Youngstown, and a son and daughter-in-law, Daniel Jr. and Donna Mootz of Mountain View, Calif.
Mrs. Mootz worked in the accounting department at Republic Steel Corp. and as a sales associate at Casual Corner at the Southern Park Mall, Boardman.
An engineer, Mr. Mootz retired in 1987 from Republic Steel after 36 years of service. He also worked eight years as a letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service in Youngstown. He served in the Korean War.
The couple are members of Holy Family Church.
