Greens observe 50th anniversary during reception

WARREN -- Mr. and Mrs. William Green, 5825 Emerson Ave., were honored by family and friends as they celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary during a reception held Sept. 2 at St. William Church hall in Champion.
Arrangements for the festivity were made by the couple's family, Ethel McKenzie of Los Angeles; James and Linda Green of Howland; Robert Green of Dayton; Nancy Green of Boone, N.C.; William and Barbara Hummel of Champion; and David and Ruth Waite of Sebring, Fla. There are also four grandchildren in the family.
The former Joan Howell and Mr. Green were married Aug. 31, 1951, at St. James Episcopal Church, where she was organist and choirmaster.
Mr. Green is retired from Taylor-Winfield Corp. in Warren, where he was a pattern maker.
Mrs. Green, a piano and organ teacher, served as organist at several area churches and retired from Howland Community Church.
