Dinner party held to honor Hartshorn jubilee

CANFIELD -- The 50th wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. James Hartshorn, 10834 W. Western Reserve Road, was celebrated during a dinner party Sept. 1 at the Timberlanes in Salem.
Hosts and hostess for the event were the honorees' daughter and son-in-law, Anita and Scott Howard of Shirley, N.Y., and grandson, James Howard.
The former Margaret Schmit and Mr. Hartshorn were married Sept. 1, 1951, in Woodsfield.
Mr. and Mrs. Hartshorn are members of Conner Ridge United Methodist Church.
Retiring in 1990, Mr. Hartshorn was a fitter operator with East Ohio Gas Co. He served in the U.S. Army with a tour of duty in Korea and is a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
