BEAVER TOWNSHIP -- Nicole Lyn Strohecker and Robert Louis Piriak exchanged marriage vows before the Rev. Richard Bartholomew, the groom's grandfather, during a ceremony Aug. 11 at North Lima Mennonite Church.
The newlyweds accepted congratulations during a reception at St. Jude's Hall in Columbiana.
Parents of the couple are Dale and Ellen Strohecker of North Lima and Robert and Patricia Piriak of Lisbon.
Re-embroidered lace and pearls embellished the bodice on the bride's Italian matte satin gown designed with a princess waistline and semicathedral train.
Wearing plum gowns were Christa Adams, the honor attendant, and bridesmaids, Marlene Knezetic, the groom's aunt; Cindy Lokomski; Tina Piriak, his sister; and Brenda Zimmerman, the bride's sister-in-law. Her niece, Tori Zimmerman, was flower girl.
Randy Carr performed the duties of best man for his cousin. Groomsmen were Keith and Kevin Zimmerman, the bride's brothers; Jason Adams; and Sam Wenger. The groom's cousin, Ryan Palm, was ring bearer.
Mrs. Piriak will graduate in the spring from Youngstown State University with a bachelor's degree in respiratory therapy.
The groom earned a degree in civil engineering and drafting at YSU. He is a drafter with National Refractories in Columbiana.
Since returning from a honeymoon Aruba, the newlyweds live in Boardman.
