ASSOCIATIONS
XThe Licensed Practical Nurses Association, Division 3 of Mahoning and Trumbull Counties, will meet at 7 p.m. Sept. 17 at The Greenbriar Quality Care of Boardman, 8064 South Ave., Boardman. Sheila L. Cougras of the Wound Center at St. Elizabeth Health Center, Youngstown, will present the program, "Dressings: When and What To Use." The program has been approved for 1.8 contact hours. All LPNs and registered nurses may attend. The cost for members is $2 and nonmembers, $4. XO-My-O Chapter of the American Business Women's Association will meet at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the home of Linda Oddo in Poland. Members should take appetizers, casseroles and desserts. Jean Montgomery will speak on her recent trip to China. Call (330) 757-1623 if you plan to attend.

CLUBS
XBoardman-Poland Junior Women's League will be the host for the Northeast District of the GFWC/Ohio Federation of Women's Clubs fall conference Sept. 21 at Alberini's Restaurant, Niles. Registration will begin at 9 a.m. with the program at 9:30. Goldie Sites, district president, will preside. A fall fashion demonstration will be presented by Kara Thomas. A continental breakfast and lunch will be served. The district includes Trumbull, Mahoning, Portage, Stark and Wayne counties.
XMary Chesney Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution will meet at 1 p.m. Sept. 15 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Warren, for the annual Indian Tea. Karen Lapidus will speak on "Native American Suit Case." Hostesses will be Joan Boden and Roberta Davis. Co-chairmen are Mrs. Paul Belus, Julia Yeager, Marilyn Kegarise, Mrs. Alex Rossi, Mrs. Glen Ellis, Doris Pheiffer, Mrs. Richard Mahoffey and Mrs. George Treisch. Guests are welcome.
XPolish Arts Club will have its annual family picnic from noon to 4 p.m. Sept. 16 at the Wick Park Pavilion. Those attending should take table service for the casserole luncheon at 1 p.m. Cost for nonmembers is $3 for adults and $1 for children. Chairman is Mary Ann Mlynarski, and co-chairman is Marge Lardas. Dues of $11 are payable.
XThat Quilt Group I Belong To will meet at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 18 at Fair Park in Canfield. Shop owners night will be observed. Anyone interested in quilting may attend.
XWest Farmington Pythian Sisters Liberty Temple 185 will meet at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the K. of P. Hall.

SINGLES
XCatholic Alumni Club members will meet at 2 p.m. Sept. 22 at Perkins in Canfield to carpool to the Italian Festival at Mountaineer Race Track. Admission to the festival is free. For reservations call (330) 898-8740.

XMahoning County Chapter of the Ohio Genealogical Society will meet at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 17 at Four Mile Run Christian Church, 701 N. Four Mile Road, Austintown. Speaker Peggy Lauritzen will present "The WPA and Its Records." A volunteer arranged by Mahoning County Chapter will be available from 1 to 4 p.m. Thursdays at the main branch of Youngstown Public Library on Wick Avenue to assist people interested in genealogy.
XTrumbull County Herb Society will meet at 7 p.m. Sept. 17 at Champion Christian Church. A gardener's market will take place before the meeting. There will be election of officers for 2002. Club member Linda Bennett will present a program on women's heath. The herb of the month is wormwood. Hostesses will be Alma Gaberial, June Brobst and Beverly Patrick.
SUPPORT GROUPS
XL.O.S.S, survivors of suicide, a support group for those who have lost a loved one, will meet at 6 p.m. Monday at Leavittsburg Church of God, 610 S. Leavitt Road.
