Reception held in celebration of Reents jubilee



AUSTINTOWN -- Mr. and Mrs. William Reents, 3874 Dunbar Ave., were honored Aug. 19 during a reception held at St. George Croatian Hall in Youngstown in celebration of their 50th wedding anniversary.
Arrangements for the event were made by the couple's children and their spouses, Debbie and Carl Alexander of Austintown, Gary and Fran Reents of Kettering, and Mark and Carrie Reents of Waycross, Ga. Five grandchildren complete the family.
St. Anthony Church in Youngstown was the setting Aug. 18, 1951, as Mr. Reents and the former Francis Traino were united in marriage.
Mr. Reents served with the U.S. Army during World War II. He worked at Loblaw's in Youngstown and retired from Ohio Consumer Water Department in Youngstown in 1991 after 15 years of service. He was an active aviator and built his own KR-1 airplane, which he flew for 22 years.
Mrs. Reents was a hairdresser for eight years and also was a licensed practical nurse with Western Reserve Health Care System for 16 years prior to retiring in 1994.
