LIBERTY -- Eugene Rossi, chairman of Rossi Insurance Agency in Warren, will be honored by the Mahoning Valley Economic Development Corp. as the Mahoning Valley Person of the Year.
The award will be presented at MVEDC's annual Salute to Business, Industry and Labor banquet Oct. 11 at Leo's Ristorante in Howland.
"MVEDC is proud to recognize Mr. Rossi as he exemplifies the kind of dedication to family, business and community that many strive for, but few achieve," said George Beehlen, president of MVEDC's board of directors.
Biographical: Rossi has been in the insurance industry for more than 50 years. The family business was started by his father and uncle in 1924 and today Rossi's sons, Dennis, Greg and Jeff, are involved.
Rossi has been president of the MVEDC board of directors, Independent Insurance Agents of Trumbull County, Trumbull County Association of Life Underwriters, Family Service Agency and Warren Area Chamber of Commerce.
His affiliations include the Oblate Sisters of the Sacred Heart, Youngstown State University Foundation, CSC Scholarship Foundation, Youngstown Diocese Financial Council, Knights of Columbus No. 620, American Legion Post 278, Elks Lodge 295, Trumbull County Club and Buckeye Club.
