First lady to visit 25 new home sites

With events taking place all over the country and the world, Ohio first lady Hope Taft has decided to join in this year's 25th anniversary celebration of Habitat for Humanity International.
She will help build Circle of Hope 2001, 25 homes to be constructed across the state this year. Taft will visit each of the houses in the circle.
Marcie Seidel, Taft's chief of staff, said the idea was born after Taft participated in a "First Lady's Build," an all-women build in Canton two years ago. Seidel said Taft was so taken by the importance of providing quality, safe housing to families in need that she decided to become involved in the 25th anniversary celebration by visiting 25 build sites this year.
The project is led by the Habitat for Humanity of Greater Canton. Taft is scheduled to visit homes being built by Alliance, Canton and East Liverpool affiliates as well as 22 others.
