Divelbisses mark golden anniversary by renewing vows during reception



AUSTINTOWN -- Mr. and Mrs. Howard Divelbiss, 5355 Virginia Drive, renewed their marriage vows during a reception Sept. 1 at Theodore's Banquet Centre in Mineral Ridge.
Hosts and hostesses for the event were the honorees' children and families, Howard Divelbiss III of Austintown, Laura and Joe Assion of Medina, and Lynn Divelbiss and her fiance, Lou Warren, both of Bradford, Mass., and their four grandchildren.
The former Lillian Boyer and Mr. Divelbiss were married Sept. 1, 1951, at Southside Presbyterian Church. They are members of the Ohltown United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Divelbiss is a part-time secretary at West Austintown First United Methodist Church. She retired after 22 years as secretary at the Ohltown church, where she also was a Sunday school teacher and where she is a member of the United Methodist Women's Group, church librarian and membership secretary. She is a companion volunteer with Hospice of the Valley.
Retiring in 1984 from Valley Mould in Hubbard, Mr. Divelbiss is semiretired and works for the BP station in Austintown.
