Dinner reception held in honor of Thomas jubilee

STRUTHERS -- Mr. and Mrs. Dan Thomas Sr. of Struthers were honored during a dinner reception Aug. 24 at Bobby D's in Youngstown for the celebration of their 50th wedding anniversary.
Hosts and hostess were the honorees' sons and daughter-in-law, Danny Jr. and Michele Thomas of Struthers, Michael Thomas of Canfield and Rick Thomas of Struthers. The family circle also includes four grandsons.
St. Nicholas Church provided the setting as the former Elizabeth Ann "Lee Bee" Franceschelli and Mr. Thomas exchanged marriage vows Aug. 11, 1951.
Mr. Thomas worked for LaFrance Dry Cleaners and was part owner of Crystal Clear Cleaners in Youngstown until his semiretirement in 1990. During World War II he served with the U.S. Army in the Philippines. Mr. Thomas was a charter member of VFW Post 3538 and is a member of Ohio American Legion Post 88.
Mrs. Thomas is a member of 1418 Seniors Auxiliary and the Altar and Rosary Society of St. Nicholas Church, where they are members.
