Mohawk, Sharon cruise to victories

BESSEMER, Pa. -- Mitch Gasperoni ran 20 times for 214 yards to lead Mohawk to a 46-0 win over Center in the opener for each team Friday.
Gasperoni scored on runs of 51 and 75 yards.
Quarterback Ryan Carr ran for a pair of touchdowns covering 10 and 1 yards and passed for two more.
Carr found Travis Bessell for a 24-yard TD aerial, then hit Bobby Griffith for a 16-yard score.
Carr was 3-for-9 passing for 41 yards for Mohawk.
Sharon 38, Cornell 0: SHARON, Pa. -- Running back Marcus Smith led Sharon to an easy victory with 16 carries for 135 yards and three touchdowns.
The Tigers went into halftime with a 28-0 lead and never looked back, dominating Cornell and limiting them to only 78 yards of total offense. Sharon totaled 285 yards.
