Man charged with burglarizing restaurant

SHARON, Pa. -- Police said a man arrested on theft and receiving stolen property charges for having a city of Sharon street sign in his apartment has now been charged with burglarizing The Phoenix Restaurant on West State Street on Oct. 15.
Police arrested David A. Gammon, 19, of Russell Street, early Monday for having the stolen street sign. Police went to his apartment to talk to some people visiting there about some thefts.
While interviewing Gammon later in the day, they decided to charge him with burglary, criminal trespass, theft, and criminal conspiracy in the restaurant burglary in which money, liquor, candy and cigars were stolen.
Gammon appeared before District Justice James McMahon on all counts and was freed on a $10,000 unsecured bond.
