BRUCE E. BACAK*
Age: 41.Home: 3955 Meadow Hill Drive, Mineral Ridge.Employment: Salesman for Wonder/Hostess since 1991.Education: Associate degree in business management from Youngstown State University; drafting certificate from ITT; Mineral Ridge High School graduate.Family: Wife, Cindy; two daughters.Priority: "Maintain progressive environment for students and student and staff safety."
SHEILA BARTSCHER
Age: 40.Home: 1747 Ohltown-McDonald Road.Employment: Full-time mother; charge nurse at Horizon Nursing and Rehabilitation, 1993 to 1996; manager of Deb Shop, 1986 to 1992.Education: Graduate of Choffin Licensed Practical Nursing School; attended Youngstown State University.Family: Husband, Brian, and four daughters. Priority: "As a concerned parent and citizen, I am willing to get involved to help our children obtain the highest standard of education and to have a great school."
MARILYN J. BESOIU
Age: 55.Home: 1304 Northfield Drive, Mineral Ridge.Employment: Homemaker; former fifth- and sixth-grade teacher at Warren City Schools and preschool teacher at Austintown Community Church. Education: Bachelor of science degree in elementary education from Youngstown State University; postgraduate work in education at YSU and Kent State University.Family: Husband, John, and two sons.Priority: "Develop a meaningful fostering of a gifted student-honors program that exceeds the mandates from the state within the revenue allowed and implement a student-mentoring program within the school system."
DOUGLAS DARNALL*
Age: 58.Home: 3707 St. Mary's Drive.Employment: Psychologist at Trumbull County Court since 1981, CEO of PsyCare since 1985 and clinic director of Liberty PsyCare Clinic since 1985.Education: Ph.D. from Kent State University.Family: Wife, Janette, and two daughters.Priority: "... to preserve the excellent working relationship between the board, administration and school personnel while keeping a balance between our passion to accomplish our goals and maintaining financial restraint. With the issues facing the district in the next four years, the district needs experience, not change."
